Handbag designer Claire Sanchez believes art is not only made to hang on the wall, but instead more practical and thrilling found hanging on the arm of one of her many collectors. Shortly after graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a B.F.A. in fibers and a minor in Painting, Sanchez returned to her home in Louisiana to start her own business making handbags. Claire Sanchez handbags are easily recognized by their traditional shapes and contrasting fabrications of striking prints in vibrant colors. She searches fabric markets, estate sales and auctions to find the plucky little prints she loves so much. She is inspired by repeat patterns, interesting textures and vintage textiles. Retro prints and a limited edition of vintage prints in all natural fabrics are offered in the Claire Sanchez handbag line.
