Born to a Finnish father and Canadian mother, Annie Aalto spent her childhood traveling worldwide with her parents as her father pursued a career in fine and decorative arts. She later graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a degree in metals and jewelry. Annie creates forms in her namesake.(aalto meaning "wave" in the Finnish tradition).This collection of fashion-forward jewelry celebrates our connection with nature. Each jewelry piece is a bold stylization of organic forms found in the fluid structure of the natural world. Fusing the principles of fine art, fashion and goldsmithing, Aalto seeks to convey the ever-changing nature of life in concrete representation.
