Ben Gelnett has worked professionally as a graphic designer since graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 1999. In 2005, with the help of fellow SCAD alumni Dave Funkhouser, he launched smackhound.com, a site that showcases artwork created outside of the corporate environment in a variety of media. Gelnett established a working relationship with a variety of venues, clubs and bands that allowed for even greater creativity when promoting regional events. Shows include Q and not U, Starflyer 59, Xui Xui, The Melvins, The Talk, Melt Banana, The Shins, Inspectah Deck, The Woggles, Jucifer and HR from Bad Brains. A new Website featuring these and many other new designs is in the works. His poster art is featured in the upcoming book, "Fistful of Rock".
