Born and raised in the small town of Decatur, Ind., Christina Genth has been doodling since the time she could hold a crayon (whether it was on paper, coloring book or a wall!) She grew up in the country and that really encouraged her to use her imagination. Art quickly became her favorite subject. Throughout grade school her drawings became much more than doodles, and she discovered a passion and love for art, greatly encouraged by her teachers, family and friends. Genth made the move to SCAD with a dream to illustrate children's books one day. Amazingly, her dream has come true already! She is the happy illustrator of the "The Messy Monkey Tea Party" written by Cheri Deich, a dear friend of hers who resides in Savannah with her husband and three lovely children. Genth resides in Atlanta and hopes to illustrate several more children's books. She also works as a freelance portrait artist using oil on canvas, working from photographs. She finds the most joy in her life when she's painting, laughing, sharing life with family and friends, singing and playing her air guitar, enjoying the outdoors exercising, and being thankful to God who has given her this talent and so many more blessings.
