Anthony Fisher is the owner and creative director of Anthony J. Fisher Freelance Artist Inc., which has served various national, Fortune 500 and international companies. He specializes in brand and logo design, print promotional material, package design, photography, illustration, cartooning and Web design. Fisher wrote his own degree while attending Eastern Michigan University, earning a B.S. in individualized studies in political cartooning. In 1988, he earned the College Media Advisors national award of Best Editorial Cartoonist, and a second place award for political cartoon in the Columbia Scholastic Press Association's Gold Circle Awards. You can still see his work at EMU, as he designed both the Eastern Eagle logo and the mascot logo Swoop. Fisher has been writing and drawing humor as a published cartoonist for more than 20 years. He wrote and drew political cartoons and a strip cartoon entitled "Whats Your Pointe?" for The Pointer monthly magazine from 1999-2006. He also self-syndicated a feature cartoon called "Fish Fry" to 10 weekly publications in Michigan. "Fish Fry" was the featured cartoon on Tribune Media Services Web site ComicsEdge.com. King Feature Syndication purchased his cartoons, and released them worldwide under "The New Breed" cartoon. His strip cartoon "Lou, Sir" won the "Comics Combat" contest in The Savannah Morning News, earning him a 3 month contract to publish the cartoon alongside syndicated cartoons on the comics page.
