Photographer Chia Chong grew up in Penang, Malaysia. Chong earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in photography in 1998 from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Her broad range of photography encompasses portraiture, fashion, lifestyle and interior design, fine art and travel. Chong’s work has been published in several leading international lifestyle and shelter magazines, including Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Elle Decor, Women’s Wear Daily, Lucky, Score, HomeStyle, Southern Living, Atlanta Magazine, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, The New York Times, The Miami Herald and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Chong’s work also appeared in numerous books, including "Picture Perfect", "Making Our Mark", "Small Gardens of Savannah and Thereabouts" and "A House in the South". Since 2006, design-driven home furnishings retailer west elm included a collection of Chong’s photographs in its home décor collection. Chong has participated in numerous exhibitions in Savannah and Atlanta, Ga., as well as in Paris. Chong lives in Savannah, Ga., with her husband and daughter.
