Heavily influenced by the natural world, Alex Hossick creates jewelry that embodies the organic forms and intricate textures evident in all living organisms. The artist’s distinctive perception of the natural world is evident in her work, and her artistic expression is achieved through a unique combination of hand carving and 3D computer modeling. The vivid colors and corals of the sea and the unmatched perfection of the urchin have become her muse.
Alex fell in love with the arts during her High School years living in Maryland, but her time at SCAD turned her passion for designing jewelry into a career path. She graduated from SCAD in 2012 with a BFA in both Metals and Jewelry, and Fibers. Alex is currently living in New York working as a jewelry designer for Tiffany & Co.
