Monica Cook is a painter, animator, sculptor and mixed-media artist whose portraiture and installations illuminate the fantastical and grotesque in the corporeality of human bodies. Her artwork is collected by individuals and institutions from around the world and has been exhibited domestically and internationally. Cook’s work has been part of group exhibitions at the Galerist, Instanbul, Turkey; Hans Alf Gallery, Copenhagen, Denmark; Torrance Art Museum, Torrance, California, and others. A native of Dalton, Georgia, she works out of her studio in Brooklyn, New York.
